Title: 4424
Post by tacomatech on Oct 31st, 2012 at 1:11pm
So I was looking at the Pico site and they don't seem to have a 4423 scope listed in their line up. I found a 4424 that looks to have the same specs, is this just a newer version?

You probably were not in the automotive part of the site.

http://www.picoauto.com/

The 4424 is the test and measurement version of the 4423 automotive scope.

You can find our PicoQuad automotive kits here:

http://www.autonerdz.com/picoquad4000.htm

These are ONLY available from Autonerdz or one of our affiliates.

I see. What did they change about it to make it an automotive scope? And don't worry, I wouldn't dream of ordering it from anyone else. I live in Tacoma so I can take full advantage of the hands on part of the support package (not to mention save $50 on shipping). I started eyeing the picoquad a few years ago but had a pair of twin girls instead. Have one ready for me right after tax season.

The firmware for one thing.  The 4424 will not work with the automotive software.

Will do.  Look forward to having you in our global Picogroup.   [smiley=nerd2.gif]

It is listed on the automotive section of our website http://www.picoauto.com/ and as Tom has said the automotive software is designed to only work with the automotive scopes.
