Title: PicoScope Destroyed by Hurricane Post by Tom Roberts on Sep 20th, 2004 at 11:56am
As you know, the Bahamas were recently devastated by hurricanes.
http://bahamasb2b.com/news/ Kenton Roker, one of our PicoScope users group, had his shop go under five feet of salt water. He lost most of his equipment, including his beloved PicoScope. All he has is his hand tools. PicoScope is a very durable piece of equipment, but a few days under salt water took its toll. He had insurance only on the building, so I contacted the owner of Pico Technology to see if they could help. They have graciously offered to replace his destroyed PicoScope kit. These are a great bunch at Pico! Thank you! They still have no electricity in Freeport, but when things get up and running and they have power and phones, Kenton is sending me some pictures. When he can email them to me, I'll post them up here in this thread. Best of luck with your disaster recovery, Kenton! |

Wow! did I read your post correctly. That has to be the first in our industry. Never in my 21 years in this trade that a tool equipment company has step up to help one of our fellow techs. Goes to show, how customer relation is very important to to PICO.

Hi Jose,
Yeah, you read the post correctly ;) I have had the honor of meeting and working with these guys face to face. If I had to put in one word...Integrity. They have what I would term a long term view of their place in the industry. While relative new comers to the automotive market, they have already raised a few eyebrows and set a standard for others. But this act surely goes beyond the call of duty. |

Hi Kenton,
I realize it might take you some time before you read this, but our heart goes out to you for your losses. It was a great jesture by Pico Technology Ltd. to offer a replacement unit for your damaged unit due to conditions beyond your control. That certainly supercedes the tradition of their concern to make sure every user is satisfied which they do on a regular basis. Thank you Pico for helping one of our fellow users in times of destruction beyond his control. That adds more value to our already existing superb support groups. Best of luck to you my friend in a speedy recovery, |
